Hang Tough Contemporary is delighted to announce their first exhibition of 2022. ‘Isolation’ is a new collection of limited edition prints from Irish artist Niall Staines.
The ideas and inspiration for this new body of work was conceived while Staines was isolating during lock down. It portrays the rollercoaster of emotions that came with being isolated from the rest of the world. It unravels the excruciating never ending days that stretched on and on to the mindless, never ending sessions spent doom-scrolling through social media. In this work, Staines has captured the boredom, fear and uncertainty that has plagued us all.
‘Isolation’ features a new collection of digital compositions. Each work will be published as a limited edition print, using archival pigments on German cotton rag paper. Prints will be available framed and each is signed, numbered and embossed with the Hang Tough Contemporary seal. All prints will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Niall Staines is an art director and digital artist based in Ireland. His work is graphic, vibrant and visually arresting.
Nature is a consistent theme in his work, often turning serene landscapes into surreal dreamscapes. He uses a mixture of digital collage and photo manipulation to create his unique style. His work has been acquired by collectors in Ireland, Europe and the United States.
