Zsolt Basti is a Hungarian painter living in Ireland since 2005. His practice explores fleeting intimate memories, provoked by vague sensations. Through his paintings he examines the relationship between reality and memory. He constructs abstract scenes using primarily personal subjects, allowing him to access this interior world. Basti graduated with a BA in Fine Art from the Institution of Art, Design and Technology Dun Laoghaire. He has exhibited in galleries such as the RHA, Pallas Projects and the United Arts Club. His paintings have been included in art collections by the RCSI Anatomy Room, IADT, aswell as numerous international and national private collections.
